This lovely bookmark is graced with a photograph of one of Israel's animals, the Nubian Ibex. The Nubian ibex is a rocky desert dwelling goat found in mountainous areas of Israel. These wild goats are very agile and hardy, able to climb on bare rock and survive in the sparse vegetation of the Judean Desert.

Israel wildlife is extremely diverse. The country is located between the temperate and the tropical zones. Israel is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, there is desert, mountains, fresh water rivers and lake, and fertile fields. Due to this hugely differing environments, the species of Israel are also hugely diverse. Israel loves and cares for it wildlife establishing over 190 nature reserves throughout the small country.
